Once upon a time, there were 10,000 Punks.

Just Punks.

That was Punks2023.

Pure identity. Static. Clean. Untouched.

Simple. Beautiful. Slightly naïve.

Like most NFT launches.

Then someone said the most dangerous sentence in crypto:

Enter: Trait Packs.

You could open packs. Pull traits. Use the Trait Studio. Modify your Punk.

For the first time, your NFT wasn't frozen in time. It could change.

It felt powerful.

And then we introduced Junk.

Yes. That was the name.

You staked. You earned Junk. You spent Junk applying traits.

We had a loop.

It was fun. It worked. It created movement.

And it also created civil war.

Because suddenly we had two religions:

• The Purists — "Don't touch the originals."
• The Modifiers — "More traits = more rarity = more power."

Same collection. Two philosophies. Zero structural separation.

That tension was real.

Eventually, we shut it down.

Not because it failed.

Because it wasn't sustainable.

That matters.

At some point, the original founders handed the project to Filthy and me.

Now here's where most projects die.

Instead, we tried to build something bigger.

We merged into Secrets of the World. We created PunkSecrets. We aimed for expansion.

But here's the truth:

Eventually, Filthy stepped away.

And just like that, it was me.

That's not a dramatic exaggeration.

That was the board.

When you're alone at the wheel, you stop trying to impress people.

You start trying to survive.

So I made a decision.

Simplify everything.

I created Punkverse.

Not as a rebrand gimmick.

As an umbrella.

Under it:

That was the structural solution.

Not emotional resolution. Structural resolution.

Both sides won.

No one had to compromise.

After all of that, something became obvious.

Retention does.

Participation does.

Measurable activity does.

So this year, we stopped decorating.

It's the first properly structured engagement foundation built under stable direction.

This is different from Junk.

Junk was an era.

PP is architecture.

And yes, that sentence is deliberate.

Locking converts passive holders into active participants.
